Principal Megan Pettis
Valley High School is excited to introduce and welcome Megan Pettis as our new principal beginning the 2016-17 school year. Ms. Pettis is committed to supporting students' individual needs. She brings with her a wealth of experience from working as a classroom teacher, site administrator and as a district leader. Her experience includes curriculum development, Career Technical Education, school business management, master schedule development and developing individual learning plans for students. With a strong passion for supporting all students, Ms. Pettis is looking forward to working with the competent, caring and supportive teachers and staff at VHS who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of each and every student.
Ms. Pettis graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture Science and Education from California State University Chino, received a Master of Arts Education Administration along with an Administrative Credential from Sonoma State University as well as receiving her School Business Management Certificate from the University of Southern California. She has been in education for almost twenty years having worked as a teacher in the Fortuna Unified School District, Paradise Unified School District and Shoreline Unified School District, teaching agriculture and science at the high school level. Ms. Pettis has also worked as an administrator in the Novato Unified School District at both the site and district level.
Valley High School is fortunate to have such a well rounded, experienced Principal who will works tirelessly with the students to ensure they succeed.
