Home of the Sharks Welcome to the Dublin Elementary PFC Section

The PFC (Parent Faculty Club)
We are a non-profit organization that expects to raise more than $80,000 this year, the Dublin Elementary PFC helps to fund programs and provide supplies that the school could not otherwise afford. It is the equivalent of the PTA you may remember from your own school days. This money supports our computer programs and provides instructional aides, yard duty support, curriculum enhancement, parent educator programs, classroom supplies, playground equipment, capital improvements such as landscaping, enrichment and reading assistance programs, and much more.

PFC Mission
To support high academic standards and a positive learning environment at our school through educational and social programs, parent outreach, and community involvement.

PFC Vision

To make every child's potential a reality by:
  • Helping to provide a strong educational and learning environment for students
  • Maintaining a strong membership and good relationships with teachers and each other through effective communication, planning, documentation, and training
  • Having visibility and a voice in the community
  • Maintaining a healthy bank account through planning and the financial/strategic flexibility to adjust to outside factors

How Do I Get Involved?
We rely on dedicated volunteers, and we always need new members to contribute ideas and help plan and put on events!  We encourage you to attend at least one of our meetings or ask any board member for information on current events where we always need extra volunteers!

The PFC meets at 7:00 PM on the 1st Wednesday of each month in the DES library. See the school calendar for actual dates.  (meetings typically last 1.5 hours)

At the PFC meeting on Oct 5th we approved the expenditure of funds to purchase licenses for an amazing high-tech, web-based math program (IXL) that will be used for all students who are excelling in Math. IXL uses adaptive questioning to quickly and accurately determine exactly what a student knows and doesn't know and then provides appropriate curriculum at their level, so they can go beyond their class work.  Thanks to our 5th Grade teachers for helping find a great solution to help our high achieving students.
Raz-kids Kindergarten online Reading Program Approved in February 2012!
  • Approved 24hr access to Brain Pop and Brain Pop Jr
  • In an effort to keep our kids safe we provide the funds to pay for 1 extra yard duty every day!
  • Why is our library so tidy, organized and useful partly due to the extra hours we pay to have our Librarian to stay longer each day.
  • Extra playground balls and equipment are provided by the PFC funds.
  • Family nights and all assemblies are paid for 100% by the PFC.
  • We help fund the extra bus money needed for field trips

As our education system suffers from budget cuts, it is your donation that continues to help keep these important programs available to your student(s).  It is not too late to help support the student's education here at Dublin El.  Your tax deductible donation to the Dublin El PFC fund is always appreciated! :)
