GATE Testing:
During the month of March, students will be testing for entry into the GATE program. To be admitted to the GATE program, all applicants are required to take the CogAT, a test of intellectual ability. Students may qualify for GATE based on this test alone or in combination with their STAR test results. There is no referral or nomination process and the testing will take place during the week at your child’s school. Any parent is encouraged to complete the Permission to Test form if they believe their child is gifted. The Permission to Test form is available in the school offices and here below. Forms must be returned to your school office with a 10” self-addressed stamped envelope by Friday, February 26, 2010.
