  • I am so thrilled to share the 2018-19 school year with you! We have lots of fun to enjoy and memories to make as our little Kinders navigate their way through their first year of elementary school.

As we prepare for the first day of school, here are some important reminders to prepare yourselves:

= With our new Kindergarten complex, there is a secured gate surrounding the classrooms and playground. Please walk your child to the kindergarten gate near the EDCC building for morning arrival at 8:30 and pickup at 12:26.

= If you are late for morning dropoff (after 8:35), the gate to our yard will be locked. Please bring your child to the office for a tardy slip before joining us.

= If another adult is picking up your child, please inform me and the office to update your child's emergency list.

= Please purchase a backpack for your child and teach him/her how to zip and unzip it.  This provides something for your child to carry their snack to school in and insures that notes to and from school have a much better chance of reaching their destination.  LABEL EVERYTHING! Backpacks, coats, sweatshirts, jackets, EVERYTHING! =)

= It is very important that your child is ready for school every day.  That means that he/she has had plenty of sleep and breakfast.  A HEALTHY snack is recommended for recess every day. Please try to send drinks and snacks that your child can open without an adult's help.

More details about classroom routines, curriculum and classroom FUN will be detailed at Back to School Night, which is scheduled for Wednesday, August 15th from 5:30-7. It is strongly encouraged that all parents attend to learn about Doughtery and specifics about the year ahead. Adults only please. Hope to see you all there!
