Students are currently writing scenes and/or monologues for our "Teen Issues" Unit.6th Graders: We're now up and running on Google Classroom too! If you missed your invitation, please email me here. (DISCLAIMER: While I will do my best to provide information and links pertaining to theatre, it will be impossible to replicate the experience students have in Drama class, which is 90% based on in-person social interaction. I use a wide variety of interactive games, skits, and improvisations which help students develop a greater self-confidence and build their social skills.) Through GC students will be given opportunities to write their own plays as well as to watch theatre online.ALL students who are interested in learning more about the history of theater can check out this YouTube series called "Crash Course Theater", which has 49 episodes spanning from Greek Drama all the way to modern Broadway musicals: Crash Course Theater

About the instructor:Bryant Hoex has been teaching, directing, and acting all around the Bay Area for the past 24 years. He is proud of the wonderful Drama program he has helped build here in Dublin (including 8 years at DHS), and loves seeing students excel and reach their full potential. In 2016 he was one of 12 teachers chosen from Northern California to study at the Globe Theater in London (and perform upon the Globe stage!) Many Wells students will recognize his voice (or variety of silly voices) from the morning bulletin announcements. Outside hobbies include soccer, hiking, and playing guitar.
