A little about me:
I received a B.A. in History from UC Santa Barbara, with minors in English and Education, before completing my teaching credential through Brandman University.
I did my student teaching at Fallon, and then was hired the following year. This will be my seventh year teaching at Fallon, and I love it here!
I am married and have two daughters - Ella and Charlotte who are a year and a half and four months old, respetively.
I love writing - both as a hobby, a possible future profession, and as my favorite thing to teach! I find writing to be a great way to express yourself and share your ideas!
My teaching philosophy: I believe that middle school is a time to learn HOW to learn. I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel safe enough to try again if they don't get it right the first time, and where they learn the tools needed to create more success. The purpose of middle school is to teach students how to study, how to ask for help, how to recognize when they need help, how to be more independent, and how to manage their newfound emotions, stresses, and relationships. These are my primary responsibilities to teach, and are as important if not more important than the content I teach.
