Welcome to the 2019-20 school year!

I am really excited to work with you this year! Please email me with any questions or concerns. Don't forget to check your email within 24 hours of writing me as I do respond quickly. I have the list of required materials below.

Welcome to your student's first year of high school! If there are any concerns about homework or grades, I strongly urge you to begin the conversation with your student first before contacting me. Have them show you Google Classroom and explain any assignment to you. My goal for your student is to have them begin advocating for themselves for all their classes in high school. They should get comfortable approaching their teachers, either personally or via email, to discuss their concerns about grades or any clarifications needed. If you choose to still email me, please allow for he allotted response time of up to 48 hours. Thank you!
If you are a parent interested in following along during the year, please email me so I can add you to the parent Classroom feature! You will not be able to participate in any of the commentary sections as it becomes "view only" for parents.

*Note* I do NOT use Google Sites. Students have access to all material in Google Classroom. This includes my daily slides! Yes, they are posted in Google Classroom for your student to access at ANY time. They can see what we did the day they were absent either literally or figuratively =)

  • Pens in black/blue ink as well as other-colored ink pens for correcting. Though pencils are a safety net to make things neat, pen is more professional and academic for classroom writing.
  • Highlighters! In multiple colors preferred
  • English Only Spiral Notebook
  • Binder paper
  • 2 Dividers for their binder (yes, binder can be shared)
  • Outside Reading material. This includes: comic books, magazines (school appropriate), newspapers, etc.
  • Homework planner/binder
