My name is Greg Oravetz. I teach Freshmen P.E., Walking for Fitness, and Speed & Strength Baseball. I am an Assistant Coach for the varsity baseball team. Over the past 13 years I have coached 17 seasons of varsity football and baseball combined. My passion for sports began at a young age  while growing up in Dublin and playing Baseball (Dublin Little League), Football (South Valley Black Nights), Basketball (Saint Raymonds), and Soccer (Dublin United Soccer League). I was fortunate to play baseball in college (Chabot Community College Gladiators, Mayville State University Comets). I received my Single Subject teaching credential in Physical Education and a Minor in Coaching. As a graduate of Dublin High School (2001) I have a great deal passion for this school and the community. I live in Dublin and my Wife, Melissa, and we are raising our two children (Austin 10 years old, Paisley 4 years old) to be future Gaels. 

 

Physical Education is the subject I teach however my teaching philosophy stretches far beyond the subject and classroom. I hope to make an impact in every one of my students lives so that they appreciate their time here and  know they can count on me to push them in the right direction. My students will learn accountability and responsibility through playing sports and learning about physical fitness. Every day is a great day and my classes will enjoy their time spent with me just as I will enjoy my time spent with them.
