Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Christina Henning

It is truly an honor to work at Wells Middle School. I can sincerely say that I wake up each and every day so excited to work with the Roadrunner family! This year will be my second year as a Counselor at Wells Middle School, and while it may be a different start to the year, I am confident that our students and staff can take on whatever challenges arise during distance learning!

Prior to my work as a counselor at Wells Middle School, I attended California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Child Development. My passion for working with students cultivated during my time at Cal Poly while working as a Resident Advisor, Peer Mentor, and Counseling Intern at a large Central Coast high school. From there, I attended Saint Mary’s College of California to earn my Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. While at Saint Mary’s I focused on my work as a counselor at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon and John Muir Elementary School in Martinez.

As a counselor my goal is to make a positive change in school culture and student’s lives. I believe that all students have great potential and can do anything! I want to provide a safe and caring environment to provide support and encouragement as they navigate the ups and downs of middle school. Whether a student is having a great or bad day, I will always be there for them!

I can’t wait to work with all of you this year!
