Mr. Jasper Tran

Mr. Tran joined the Dublin Unified School District on July 27th, 2018. He was the first full-time music teacher at Cottonwood Creek School when it opened in August 2018.

Before his time in Dublin, he has taught in the Fremont Unified School District doing numerous assignments from 2012-2020. He was the beginning-advanced band director for seven elementary schools, clarinet specialist and director of bands for the Hopkins Jr. High elementary bands, and American/Mission San Jose/Washington High School attendance area coordinator. He was also the elementary band instructor for the Newark Unified School District in 2018. He holds a Bachelors of Music Degree with an emphasis in Music Education as well as a California Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. 

On May 8th, 2019, Mr. Tran was named the Dublin Unified School District 2018-2019 New Teacher of the Year! In the summer of 2019, Mr. Tran was recognized by the community of Fremont as an MVP at the Fremont Fourth of July Parade.

Mr. Tran is currently a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and its state affiliate the California Music Education Association (CMEA); the California Band Directors Association (CBDA); and the California Orchestra Directors Association (CODA). He is very excited to work with the students at Cottonwood Creek and be a part of the Dublin community!
