The House at Pooh Corner by A. A. Milne
Read by Mrs. Conran
Just as we did for Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne, let's make a picture book to go along with this story, too. Again, I'll make suggestions as to what you can draw, but if you have other ideas, by all means do that as it's your picture book. Rmember you may use whatever medium you like to make your drawings (crayon, markers, colored pencils, pastels, or a variety), but try to put each of them on 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. Then when we get to come back together, bring all your pictures, I'll put a spiral binding on them, and you'll have a reminder of this book.
Chapter 1a
In Which A House Is Built at Pooh Corner for Eeyore
To begin our picture book, how about a drawing of Pooh and Piglet, either at Pooh's house eating their snackeral, or on the gate, learning Pooh's song, or on their walk to find Eeyore.
Chapter 1b
How about a drawing of Eeyore and his new house?
Chapter 2a
In Which Tigger Comes to the Forest and Has Breakfast
A picture of Tigger perhaps?
Chapter 2b
Maybe a drawing of Tigger taking Roo's medicine?
Chapter 3a
In Which A Search Is Organdized, and Piglet Nearly Meets the Heffalump Again
Lots of possibilities here - maybe Pooh counting his honey pots, or Rabbit organizing his search, or Pooh falling on Piglet
Chapter 3b
Perhaps a picture of what you imagine a Heffalump would look like, or of Christopher Robin finding Pooh and Piglet, or of Piglet finding Small
Chapter 4a
In Which It Is Shown That Tiggers Don't Climb Trees
Maybe a drawing of Pooh sitting on the stone in the middle of the stream or of Kanga sending Tigger and Roo off with their sandwiches.
Chapter 4b
How about a picture of Roo or Tigger being rescued from the tree
Chapter 5a
In Which Rabbit Has a Busy Day, and We Learn What Christopher Robin Does in the Mornings
Perhaps a drawing of Rabbit looking at Christopher Robin's note, or of Owl and Rabbit deciding what to do
Chapter 5b
You could have Piglet bringing a bouquet of violets to Eeyore, or Eeyore showing Rabbit and Piglet his letter A made out of sticks?
Chapter 6a
In Which Pooh Invents a New Game and Eeyore Joins In
Maybe a picture of Pooh tossing the rock in the river to rescue Eeyor
Chapter 6b
How about a picture of everyone playing Poohsticks
Chapter 7a
In Which Tigger Is Unbounced
Perhaps a drawing of Rabbit talking to Pooh and Piglet about Tigger
Chapter 7b
Maybe a picture of Pooh and Piglet following the sound of the honey pots calling or of Tigger finding Rabbit
Chapter 8a
In Which Piglet Does a Very Grand Thing
Maybe either a picture of Pooh and Piglet walking in the wind with Piglet's ears streaming behind him or of Owl's house falling all topsy turvy
Chapter 8b
How about a picture of Piglet being hoisted up to the letter box by Owl and Pooh
Chapter 9a
In Which Eeyore Finds the Wolery and Owl Moves Into It
Possibly a drawing of everyone helping Owl get his things out of the blown-down house
Chapter 9b
Maybe a picture of Eeyore showing Christopher Robin the house he found for Owl
Chapter 10a
In Which Christopher Robin and Pooh Come to an Enchanted Place, and We Leave Them There
Maybe a picture of all the animals giving Christopher Robin Eeyore's Poem
Chapter 10b
How about a final drawing of Christopher Robin and Pooh Bear in the Enchanted Forest
The End
Thank you for sharing the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and all his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood with me. Have a wonderful summer. Stay safe and healthy, and I look forward to seeing all of you when school begins again. Love, Mrs. C
