• Learning Continuity Plan Approved by Board of Trustees

The DUSD Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (Learning Continuity Plan or LCP) was adopted by the Dublin Board of Trustees on September 22, 2020. Senate Bill 98 (SB98) established the LCP requirement for the 2020-21 school year. The LCP replaces the requirement for districts to develop a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and an annual update to the LCAP for the 2020-21 school year.

The LCP is intended to memorialize the planning process underway for the 2020-21 school year and includes descriptions of the following: addressing gaps in learning; conducting meaningful stakeholder engagement; maintaining transparency; addressing the needs of unduplicated pupils, students with unique needs, and students experiencing homelessness; providing access to necessary devices and connectivity for distance learning; providing resources and supports to address student and staff mental health and social emotional well-being; and continuing to provide school meals for students.

Draft Learning Continuity Plan Public Hearing Sept. 8

Senate Bill 98 (SB98) establishes the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (Learning Continuity Plan) as a requirement for the 2020/21 school year. The Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) will be presented at a Public Hearing at the Sept. 8 Board of Trustees meeting.

The purpose of the LCP is to memorialize the actions taken as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor’s order to conduct teaching through distance learning. The LCP includes descriptions of the following: addressing gaps in learning; conducting meaningful stakeholder engagement; maintaining transparency; addressing the needs of unduplicated pupils, students with unique needs, and students experiencing homelessness; providing access to necessary devices and connectivity for distance learning; providing resources and supports to address student and staff mental health and social-emotional well-being; and continuing to provide school meals for students.

SB98 also establishes that the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is not required for the 2020/21 school year and that the California Department of Education (CDE) will not publish the California School Dashboard in December 2020 based on performance data on the state and local indicators
