    Medical Concerns

    Medications Taken at School:

A child may NOT carry medication to school and self medicate. If your child needs to take any kind of medication at school (prescription or non-prescription) a medication order form (available in the office) which has been completed by both the physician and the parent must be brought or faxed to the office.

An adult needs to bring the medication to the school office in its original container and with the pharmacy label attached. Your child must be responsible for coming to the office health room for his/her medication at the needed time. Our staff will help implement this procedure.

Keep Your Child at Home if:
He/she has had an increased temperature or has vomited in the last 24 hours.

    Lice:
We are trying very hard to eliminate lice in the Dublin schools. We have a no nit policy, which means that students with lice or nits will be sent home and may not return until they have been treated and all lice and nits are removed. Please check your children on a regular basis. Because of this problem, hats are not to be shared at school. The district nurse will be able to answer your questions regarding lice.

    Sleep and Nutrition:
It is of utmost importance to your child's health and education that he/she gets enough rest and maintain a well balanced diet. Please see that your child gets enough sleep at night and remember that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! We urge you to send healthy snacks with your children to eat at morning recess and at lunch.

    Other Concerns:
Please immediately notify the teacher and our health clerk of any medical conditions that may affect your child at school.
