• Certificated Guest Teachers

    Certificated Guest Teachers are a valuable resource for the Dublin Unified School District and an integral part of DUSD.  Due to the increasing growth in Dublin and the District's core belief in maximizing learning for every student, Dublin is seeking highly qualified guest teachers.  We offer highly competitive rates, ranging from $130 to $175 per day, depending on the frequency and duration of assignments.  Please click here for the salary schedule.
    We are now accepting applications for Certificated Guest Teachers.  If you are a fully credentialed teacher OR hold a bachelor's degree and have passed the CBEST and are interested working as a guest teacher in our district, please complete and submit to Human Resources a Certificated Guest Teacher Application.  Once your references have been checked, Human Resources will contact you to schedule an interview with the Director of Human Resources.  If you have any questions, please contact the Human Resources Department at 925-828-2551, ext. 8007.

    ALL GUEST TEACHERS must attend orientation.  Click on a link below to sign up for orientation.  Bring your completed paperwork with you to your orientation.
    The April 2, 2020, Guest Teacher Orientation is cancelled due to Alameda County's Shelter In Place order.  We may reschedule this orientation for a later date.  Thank you for your understanding.

    Required of Guest Teachers:
    • Fingerprints (CTC and/or ACOE Sub Consortium or DUSD)
    • Tuberculosis Clearance (TB test within the last 60 days.)
    • CBEST
    • Copy of Credential or Permit
    • Driver's License
    • Social Security Card
    • Completed Certificated Guest Teacher Employment Packet

    If you do not hold an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit and need to apply for one, Human Resources will assist you.  Please contact Human Resources at 925-828-2551, ext. 8007, with any questions.

    Important Information:  In October 2011, the fingerprint information was invalidated for individuals whose teaching or services documents (credential, certificate, permit, or waiver) have been expired for three or more years.  New fingerprint information will be required if an individual subsequently elects to reactivate a document or apply for a new type of document.
