After School Library Program – Drop-in hours run from 3:15 until 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday. All textbooks are available.

CJSF (California Junior Scholarship Federation) - This program is a statewide honor society that fosters pride in scholastic achievement and service to the community.  Eligibility is based upon previous semester’s grades.  Students must take the initiative to apply during the sign-up period that is announced at the beginning of each semester.

College Day - College Day at  Wells  Middle  School celebrates the colleges that we hope to attend in the future.  It is a day to promote education and learning in our school community.

School Site Council - This organization meets once a month.  (Check the school calendar for dates.) This important organization helps decide how state funded money is used to achieve school improvement goals.  The council consists of teachers, staff, parents and students.  The meetings are open to anyone interested in attending.

Talent Show - This activity is an opportunity for students and staff to display their performance skills.  Multicultural acts are highly encouraged and enjoyed by the audience.  Previous shows have included dance, gymnastics, vocal performances, individual and group instrumentals, and magic acts.  Auditions are held approximately six weeks before the show.  Performances are scheduled for daytime assemblies and also in the evening for parents.  All grade levels and staff are encouraged to audition.

Science Club - Do you like science?  Do you like to work on experiments?  Then the Science Club is for you!

Spelling Bee - As part of our annual Spelling Bee, in December students are selected in their English classes to take part in grade level competitions.  Grade level winners participate in the final competition, with the winner going on to represent our school in the Chronicle Bee in February.

Student Council Representatives - Students meet monthly to discuss activities and dollars spent at our school.  They then report back with the information to their advisement classes.
