My name is Jered Lui and this is my 4th year teaching at Fallon Middle School and 4th year overall. I am actually a native of Dublin, as I attended Nielsen Elementary, Wells Middle School, and Dublin High School. In 2014 I graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Earth System Sciences and later received my Single Subject Teaching Credential from Brandman University. I also have my USSF National D Coaching License.

Science is about curiosity, discovery and inquiry. It's not always about being right or wrong, or a developing a one size fits all solution. It's about the process - and understanding why we're thinking, what we're thinking. I was blessed with the most inspiring and dedicated science teachers during my primary and secondary education and I hope to have that same impact on my students. I always knew I wanted to come back and teach in the same community that provided me with the foundation to achieve my goals and that dream has become a reality!

My hobbies include watching and keeping up with all sports, specifically soccer and basketball, outdoor activities, eating and cooking (but mainly eating...everything) and spending time with family, friends, my dog Jodi (a Golden Retriever who loves her tennis ball more than anything else). Also, I coach soccer! I am currently a Head Coach for the 2009 Boys soccer team and 2008/2009 Futsal team at Ballistic United Soccer Club.

I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to an awesome year!
