Dublin Unified School District Welcomes Matthew Britten as Wells Middle School Assistant Principal

Dublin, CA – October 2, 2018 – The Dublin Unified School District (DUSD) and the Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the selection of Matthew Britten as the new Assistant Principal at Wells Middle School. Mr. Britten most recently served as the Assistant Principal of Culture at Aspire Golden Gate Preparatory Academy in Oakland. His first day at Wells Middle School will be Monday, October 8.

Beyond his recent administrative experience, Mr. Britten has taught high school English, as well as English Language Arts and Technology at the middle school level. He also served as a Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment coach, managed programs addressing safety, supervision, attendance, sports, and discipline. Matthew has a passion for working to ensure the success of all students and has significant experience working with underserved youth.

Mr. Britten, a Dublin resident, holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters of Education, Leadership and Administration from the University of California Los Angeles.
