Thomas Moore Named Assistant Superintendent of Facilities, Planning, and Construction for the Dublin Unified School District 

Dublin, CA – December 18, 2020 During the regularly scheduled Board meeting held on December 15, 2020, the Dublin Unified School District (DUSD) Board of Trustees unanimously approved the appointment of Thomas Moore as the district’s new assistant superintendent of facilities, planning, and construction. Mr. Moore joined DUSD in October 2019 as the assistant director of facilities and construction.

“Dublin continues to experience tremendous growth,” said Daniel Moirao, interim superintendent of the Dublin Unified School District. “Having an executive-level position focused on facilities makes perfect sense for our district moving forward. Thomas’s professional experience and knowledge of our district make him the ideal candidate for the job. We are thrilled to welcome him to his new role.”

Prior to joining the district, Mr. Moore was the associate director of maintenance and operations at San Jose State University, with over 35 years of experience in construction, project management, and facilities maintenance management. He has also served as the director of facilities and modernization at Ohlone College, the public works superintendent for the City of Carlsbad, and senior project manager at the University of California, San Diego. 

Mr. Moore has chaired numerous committees and subcommittees related to planning and operational programming of Ohlone College capital projects where he ensured full compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and with college policies and procedures.

He has a professional certificate in architectural, engineering, and construction practices as well as plant management from the University of California, San Diego.
