Boundary Implementation Update

On December 5, 2017, the Board of Trustees approved new boundaries for elementary and middle schools in the Dublin Unified School District. Prior to finalizing the implementation plan, we wanted to ensure we had the most recent demographer's reports available to minimize as many disruptions as possible. We are now in the process of moving forward to implement the new boundary changes. We appreciate our community's support and patience during this process. Please be assured that we will continue to make every effort to provide a smooth transition for our students and their families.


Starting Wednesday, February 14, we will be sending out individual letters to parents who are affected by the boundary changes. For more information, download the Key Dates and Boundary Decision documents.

2018-2019 Elementary School Boundary Details:

Dublin ES Boundary Description: 

  • Southern Boundary is Interstate 580. 
  • Eastern Boundary going from south to north is San Ramon Rd, up to Amador Valley Blvd, east along Amador Valley Blvd. It then runs north along the Interstate 680. 
  • Northern boundary is the Contra Costa/Alameda county limit. 
  • Western boundary includes the Schaefer Ranch residential communities and home addresses on Hollis Canyon Rd from 15419-23220. 

Murray ES Boundary Description: 

  • Southern boundary is Interstate 580. 
  • Eastern boundary going from south to north runs along Arnold Rd., then heads west along 6th and 5th Street to include The Boulevard residential community. The boundary then heads south along Dougherty Rd to Dublin Blvd., then west to Village Parkway. It then runs along Brighton Dr to include the odd numbered addresses on that street up to Langmuir Ln.  It then runs along Langmuir Ln to include even house numbers on the 6900 block of this street. The boundary then runs north along Iron Horse Trail. 
  • Northern boundary is the Contra Costa/Alameda county line. 
  • Western boundary runs along Interstate 680 south to Amador Valley Blvd. The boundary then runs west towards San Ramon Blvd. 

Frederiksen ES Boundary Description: 

  • Southern boundary from east to west runs along Dublin Blvd, then North along Dougherty Rd., then east along the 5th and 6th street to include the military base.  
  • Eastern boundary is Anderson Dr, Sebille Rd and Albrook Dr. 
  • Northern boundary is the Contra Costa/Alameda county line. 
  • Western boundary runs south along Iron Horse Trail, then west along Langmuir Ln to include odd house numbers on the 6900 block of this street. The boundary also runs along Brighton Dr to include the even numbered addresses on that street (South of Dublin High School); then runs south along Village Pkwy to include odd house numbers to Dublin Blvd.  

Dougherty ES Boundary Description (NO CHANGE/CURRENT BOUNDARY): 

  • Southern boundary is Interstate 580. 
  • Eastern boundary from south to north runs along Tassajara Rd up to the Wallis Ranch Development. The boundary excludes Wallis Ranch. 
  • Northern boundary is the Contra Costa/Alameda county line.
  • Western boundary is Arnold Rd. 

Amador ES Boundary Description:

  • Southern boundary is the Wallis Ranch Residential project. This development is included in the boundary. The boundary then runs eastbound and excludes the Tassajara Pointe, Silvera Ranch and Terrace Ridge residential communities. It then runs west of and excludes the Dublin Ranch Golf Course Community up to Bent Tree Dr. The boundary continues along Bent Tree Dr. up to Piper Glen Terrace and excludes homes on this street up to Positano Parkway. It then runs east and excludes homes on Valley Vista Dr. The boundary includes homes on both sides of the 4800 block of La Vina St., and runs east to include homes on both sides of Terracina Dr.
  • Eastern boundary is the Dublin city limit.
  • Northern boundary is the Contra Costa/Alameda county line.
  • Western boundary is (and includes) the Wallis Ranch residential development.

Green ES Boundary Description:

  • Southern boundary is Gleason Dr. and Fallon Rd.
  • Eastern boundary is and includes the Dublin Ranch Golf Course community.
  • Northern boundary is and includes the Tassajara Pointe, Silvera Ranch, and Terrace Ridge residential communities.
  • Western boundary is Tassajara Rd.

Kolb ES Boundary Description:

  • Southern boundary is Dublin Blvd.
  • Eastern boundary from south to north runs along Keegan St. up to Central Parkway eastbound to Fallon Rd., northbound to Gleason Dr.
  • Northern boundary is Gleason Rd.
  • Western boundary is Tassajara Rd.

Cottonwood Creek School Boundary Description:

  • Southern boundary is Interstate 580.
  • Eastern boundary is the Dublin city limit.
  • Northern boundary from west to east is Dublin Blvd to Keegan St., then north on Keegan St. to Central Parkway, east to Fallon Rd., then north to Positano Parkway. The Jordan Ranch residential community is the northernmost community in this attendance area.
  • Western boundary is Tassajara Rd.
