Fallon's 2019/2020 Fall Check-In Letter

Dear Fallon Parents/Guardians:

We hope you are thoroughly enjoying your summer vacation and extended time with family and friends. We’re writing to let you know about important steps you will need to complete to be ready for our Fall Check-In and the first day of school on Tuesday, August 13th.

Parent Portal Update in Infinite Campus:

The portal will open for updates on July 15th, please proceed to Infinite Campus via this link. Please read, verify or print any necessary documents as directed in the parent portal and bring them with you to Fall Check-In, including the Student Emergency Health Form. If you are unable to log into your Parent Portal account, please email portalhelp@dublinusd.org. Once you have updated your child’s Infinite Campus profile, please print and bring with you the summary sheets to Fall Check-In.

Immunizations:

Please note that California State Law prohibits 7th grade students from entering the classroom without verification of having received the Tdap booster. There is no extension period and schedules will be withheld until proof is provided to the school. NO SHOT = NO SCHOOL!

Athletics:

If your student anticipates participating in the after-school athletic program at Fallon, they must have an athletic packet and a sports physical on file. We recommend scheduling an appointment for a sports physical during the summer, prior to the start of school. Clearance to try out and participate in sports is a two-step process:    

  • Athletic Packet: The athletic packet is now available online for you to fill out and submit - NO NEED TO PRINT AND BRING INTO THE OFFICE, please follow this link to find the form.
  • Student Physicals: Student physicals are valid for only one year from the date of the exam and must be renewed each year, the link for the physical is found here.

Purchase of School Photos, Yearbook, Spirit Wear and PE Clothes:

There are two (2) easy ways to order school photos:

  1. Pre-order / pre-pay for your portrait package on-line prior to Fall Check-In. You may do so by following this link.

**Make sure to print your order confirmation and bring it with you to Fall Check-In. **

OR

  1. Complete the order form / payment at fall check-in

Permanent ID cards will be issued instantaneously at the time the photo is taken.

If your child will not be able to attend Fall Check-In, there will be a picture make-up and re-take session during lunch periods approximately six weeks after school begins. Your child will be issued a temporary ID card to use during this time.

To bypass the lengthy payment lines during Fall Check-In, we strongly recommend you prepay online for any items you plan on purchasing for the upcoming school year - PE clothes, spirit wear items, yearbooks, etc. To prepay, please visit our Fallon ASB Web Store located HERE, the web store will be open for purchases starting July 30th (the web store only accepts credit card payments and there is a minimal convenience fee charged). Please make sure to bring your printed receipt with you to Check-In to pick up your items. We will accept cash, check, Mastercard™, Visa™, and AMEX™ credit cards.

If you are unable to attend the designated Fall Check-In days, it is still important for you to complete the annual data update via the parent portal. There will be an abbreviated check-in on Monday August 12th from 9am-12pm as well, however no PE Clothes or Spirit Wear will be distributed that day.

On August 13th (the first day of school), families who were not able to attend any of the designated dates must complete a modified Check-In after 9:00am in the school office. Allow plenty of time as the wait may be lengthy and students will not be allowed into class until the entire process has been completed and all paperwork submitted.
