Inaugural Student Board Advisory Council

Dublin Community,

The Dublin Unified School Board is now accepting applications from DUSD students who are in grades 5-8 interested in serving as student representatives for their respective schools. This group of students, the Student Board Advisory Council, will work alongside the Current Student Board Representatives, Tinni Mukherjee from Dublin High School and Bailey Morita of Valley High School, to collectively voice the opinions of Dublin students.

In order to carry out this imperative task, we are looking for students who are willing to devote some time each month to further their leadership skills in order to engage in the affairs of their schools, and more broadly, their communities.

Each candidate will be evaluated based on the thoroughness and creativity of their responses on the application linked below. We are looking for a diverse range of students that represent well-thought-out perspectives and are willing to foster positive change throughout the community.

Please note that there are two separate applications for students in grades 5-7 and those in 8th grade. Applications must be emailed to: by 5:00 pm on Monday, September 17th in order to be considered. One student representative will be selected per grade level for their school.

Once selected, members will be encouraged to attend one meeting every month. These meetings will likely be held at a school site after school or on the weekends, supervised by a DUSD trustee.

We really look forward to our students’ participation in this program and are confident that it will help us make our schools even better than they already are.

Feel free to email Amy Miller,, or Tinni Mukherjee, with any potential questions.
